How we choose the right platform
For content-driven websites we start with the editorial everyday. A traditional CMS such as WordPress or Concrete CMS gives a quick start and easy editing, while Drupal suits complex permissions, language versions and content structures. If you need to reuse content across channels we go headless, with the CMS as an API behind a fast frontend.
For e-commerce the assortment, payment flows and integrations drive the choice. Shopify takes you to market quickly with hosting and payments in place, WooCommerce suits a store that lives close to an existing WordPress, and a custom build in Laravel or .NET becomes relevant when the logic around pricing, stock or customers is too specific for an off-the-shelf platform.
Finally we weigh in maintenance. Who updates the site a year from now? Do you have the skills in-house, or should we run operations? A platform nobody has the energy to maintain gets expensive no matter how good it was at launch, so we would rather recommend a simpler solution you can genuinely own than the most advanced technology available.
Questions about platforms
Can you migrate us from one platform to another?
Yes. We run migrations between content management systems and e-commerce platforms, for example from a legacy CMS to WordPress or from a bespoke store to Shopify. We map content, URL structure and integrations first, set up 301 redirects and move data in stages so neither traffic nor rankings are lost.
Which CMS suits us best?
It depends on how often you publish, how many people edit and how structured the content is. If you publish frequently and want full control in the interface, WordPress or Concrete CMS works well. With many languages, roles and content types Drupal is often the more solid choice. We give a recommendation after reviewing your needs.
Can you work in our existing codebase?
Yes. We take over and keep developing existing projects in PHP, Laravel, .NET, WordPress and WooCommerce. We begin with a code review covering structure, dependencies, security and performance, and report what should be fixed immediately versus what can be handled over time.
Are hosting and operations included?
We help you choose, set up and configure hosting that fits the platform, whether you want to run with a cloud provider or an existing partner. We can handle operations continuously with monitoring, security updates and backups, or hand over a documented environment to your own IT team.
